Tory Lanez’ “I Told You” Pacing For 25-30K US Sales; Dolly Parton’s “Pure & Simple” 20-25K

Early sales projections have emerged for two of this week’s most notable releases.

Based on opening day data, Hits Daily Double expects Tory Lanez’ debut album “I Told You” to sell 25-30,000 pure US copies. Track Equivalent Album (track sales/10) and Streaming Equivalent Album (track streams/1500) units are much harder to project this early in the week, but they should yield at least 10-15,000 more in overall consumption for Lanez’ album.

Dolly Parton’s new “Pure & Simple” is on track to move 20-25,000 US copies this week. It will not receive a significant bump from TEA and SEA.

Hits has not yet issued projections for the week’s other key new releases, including Lindsey Stirling’s “Brave Enough.” The chart placement of the aforementioned albums will also be affected by the performance of holdover releases and whether a more conventional Frank Ocean album is released this week.
