“Hamilton” Album Officially Certified Gold In The United States

The Grammy-winning “Hamilton (Original Broadway Cast Recording)” has attained its first RIAA certification.

The soundtrack was formally certified gold on April 6, 2016.

Under the terms of the revamped certification program, the gold certification confirms a US unit total of at least 500,000. One unit is equal to 1 sale, 10 track sales, or 1500 song streams (on-demand audio or video).

Sources estimate the soundtrack has sold over 300,000 pure album copies in the United States.
