Nick Jonas & Tove Lo’s “Close” Headed For Top 20 at Pop Radio

“Last Year Was Complicated,” but for Nick Jonas’ “Close (featuring Tove Lo),” this week’s chart outlook is simple.

It is headed for the Top 20 on Mediabase’s pop radio airplay listing.

“Close” received 2,672 spins during the first four days of the April 3-9 tracking week. Up a healthy 100.9% from the count at this point last week, the tally slots “Close” at #19 on the Mediabase building chart.

As it does not face an obvious threat from below — and certainly not two — it should definitely remain inside the Top 20 through the close of tracking. It may even be able to leapfrog Taylor Swift’s building #18 “New Romantics,” which holds a 249 spin lead but is fading.
