The Revenant’s Alejandro G. Iñárritu Earns Best Director Award at Oscars

For the second straight year, Alejandro G. Iñárritu has been named the best director in film.

The director, who won at the 87th Annual Academy Awards for “Birdman,” earned this year’s trophy for “The Revenant.”

Iñárritu bested George Miller (“Mad Max: Fury Road”), Lenny Abrahmson (“Room”), Tom McCarthy (“Spotlight”) and Adam McKay (“The Big Short”) for the Oscar.
