Katy Perry’s “Teenage Dream” Crosses 3 Million US Sales; “One of the Boys,” “PRISM” at 1.7M

Responsible for numerous #1 hits (five from its original iteration and an extra one from the re-issue), Katy Perry’s “Teenage Dream” has also performed well as a collection.

During the August 7-13 tracking week, that collection crossed the 3 million US sales mark.

Already certified triple-platinum based on shipments, “Teenage Dream” now reaches that territory from a final sales standpoint. Per Nielsen Music, it crossed 3 million by driving an extra 1,000 in sales during the aforementioned August 7-13 week.

2010’s “Teenage Dream” is by far Perry’s best-selling album. 2008’s “One of the Boys” currently boasts a sales total of 1.69 million. 2013’s “PRISM” has generated 1.65 million in US sales. The albums are certified platinum and double-platinum, respectively.
