Disturbed’s “Immortalized” Pacing to Win Album Sales Race with 70-75K

While its total will significantly trail that of 2010’s “Asylum,” the new “Disturbed” album will still win the weekly album sales race.

According to Hits Daily Double, Disturbed’s new “Immortalized” will shift 70-75,000 pure copies during the August 21-27 tracking week. That tally should give “Immortalized” a victory over the week’s slate of new releases — as well as holdovers like Luke Bryan’s “Kill The Lights” and Dr. Dre’s “Compton.”

“Asylum,” the band’s previous offering, moved 179,000 copies in its first week. It, too, debuted at #1 on the sales chart.

In terms of other new releases, Kip Moore’s “Wild Ones” will likely be the next-best-seller**. It is expected to move 30-35,000 pure copies.

Other estimates: Bon Jovi’s “Burning Bridges” (~22-25,000), Ghost’s “Meliora,” Nathaniel Rateliff & The Night Sweats’ self-titled debut (~18-21,000), and Carly Rae Jepsen’s “E-MO-TION” (~12-15,000).

**(Editor’s Note: Hits, perhaps due to its apparent issue with Atlantic Records, has not issued a forecast for Rob Thomas’ “The Great Unknown.” While it is not expected to compete for #1, it should debut as one of the week’s strongest newcomers)
