Kacey Musgraves Returns to Number One, “Follow Your Arrow” Tops 300K

The weekly sales tally for Kacey Musgraves’ debut “Same Trailer Different Park” fell short of early forecasts, but it was still enough to send the Grammy-winning album back to number one.

The album, which moved 27,288 weekly copies following Musgraves’ high-profile exposure at the 56th Annual Grammy Awards, returns to number one on the Billboard Country Albums chart for the first time since its debut last spring.

Following the impressive weekly performance, which marked a 177% gain from the previous week’s count, Musgraves’ “Same Trailer,” the Grammy winner for Best Country Album, boasts a cumulative sales count of 342,640.

Not limited to the album, Musgraves’ Grammy exposure also fueled commercial interest in her two most prominent singles.

Performed live by Musgraves on the broadcast, “Follow Your Arrow” rocked to number two on the weekly country track sales chart with 56,359 paid downloads. The weekly count pushed the single past the 300,000 barrier to a cumulative mark of 325,377.

Named Best County Song at the Grammys, Musgraves’ debut single “Merry Go Round” moved an additional 15,155 copies to reach a total of 820,515.
