NBC Taps Tina Fey, Amy Poehler to Host 3rd Straight Golden Globes

Reaction to their second outing was not as strong as it was to their first, but it was not weak enough to nix a third opportunity.

NBC announced Wednesday that Tina Fey and Amy Poehler will host the 2015 Golden Globes Award Ceremony.

Set to air Sunday, January 11, 2015, the ceremony, produced by Dick Clark Productions, welcomes Fey and Poehler to its stage for a third consecutive year.

“Not only do we have the privilege of announcing the date of the 72ndAnnual Golden Globe Awards, we are very appreciative of Tina and Amy for hosting the ceremony for a third year in a row,” said Theo Kingma, president of the HFPA. “There is no doubt they will once again host a memorable Golden Globe Awards celebration!”

Despite garnering harsh criticism for his work, previous emcee Ricky Gervais also enjoyed a three-turn stint in front of the Golden Globes crowd.
