Early projections have emerged for Imagine Dragons’ new album “Origins.”
According to Hits Daily Double, “Origins” is expected to sell 55-65K pure US copies this week. The inclusion of units from track sales and track streams should yield a first-week consumption tally in the 85-95K range.
As it currently stands, “Origins” will not challenge Kane Brown’s “Experiment” (projected for 110-125K sales, 125-150K units) for #1 on the Billboard Top Album Sales and Billboard 200 charts. It should, however, be in the mix for #2 on both listings.
“Origins” is the follow-up to Imagine Dragons’ 2017 album “Evolve,” which earned #2 on the Billboard 200. It opened with 109K pure sales and 147K total units.
