Barring a surprise release, Carrie Underwood’s “Cry Pretty” will debut as a dominant #1 on the US album sales and consumption charts.

Based on opening day data, Hits Daily Double expects “Cry Pretty” to sell 185-195K pure US sales during the September 14-20 tracking period. With units from track sales and streams included, it should generate 190-210K in total first-week consumption.

The figures should easily rank as this week’s best marks; there is no guarantee anything else even hits 100K.

In addition to the enthusiasm one would expect for a new Carrie Underwood album, “Cry Pretty” is benefiting from an concert ticket-album bundle. Albums redeemed in conjunction with the promotion count as pure sales.
