J. Cole’s new album “KOD” predictably had a mammoth first day on US Spotify.

Tracks from the album occupy the Top 7 slots on the service’s daily chart. All twelve songs, moreover, rank within the Top 13.

Title track “KOD” led the way Friday with 4.23 million first-day streams.

“Photograph” takes #2 with 3.56 million, while an opening day count of 3.41 million positions “ATM” in third place.

“Motiv8” (#4, 3.36 million), “Kevin’s Heart” (#5, 3.20 million), “The Cut Off” (#6, 3.06 million) and “1985 – Intro To The Fall Off” (#7, 2.89 million) also outrank songs by any other artists.

Drake’s “Nice For What,” the day’s #8 song, is the only non-“KOD” track in the Top 10.

“BRACKETS” (#9, 2.78 million), “Intro” (#10, 2.52 million), “FRIENDS” (#11, 2.38 million), “Once An Addict – Interlude” (#12, 2.35 million) and “Window Pain – Outro” (#13, 2.28 million) directly follow.

As it is also posting strong sales numbers, “KOD” is clearly going to debut at #1 on this week’s Billboard 200. Specific opening week projections are coming soon.
