“The Thrill Of It All” is on track to become Sam Smith’s first #1 album in the United States.

Based on opening day data, Hits Daily Double projects “The Thrill Of It All” to sell 165-175,000 pure US copies this week.

The inclusion of TEA (track sales/10) and SEA (track streams/1500) should yield a first-week consumption total of 195-205,000 total units.

The pure sales figure should be enough for #1 on Billboard Top Album Sales, while the latter should be enough for #1 on the Billboard 200.

“The Thrill Of It All” is the follow-up to Smith’s 2014 album “In The Lonely Hour.” That album debuted with 166K pure US sales en route to #2 on the Billboard 200.
