Early projections suggest that Chris Stapleton’s “From A Room, Volume 1” will post this week’s best pure US album sales total.
Logic’s “Everybody,” however, is expected to win the overall consumption race.
Based on opening day sales data, Hits projects that Stapleton’s album will sell 175-185,000 pure US copies during its first week of release. Such a figure would likely be enough for #1 on the Billboard Top Album Sales chart.
On track to sell 155-165,000 pure US copies, Logic’s “Everybody” is poised to debut at #2 on Top Album Sales.
The positions will likely be flipped on the Billboard 200 consumption chart. With TEA (track sales/10) and SEA (track streams/1500) included, “Everybody” should generate 225-240,000 first-week consumption units — and take #1 on the Billboard 200.
Stapleton’s album is projected to take #2 on the Billboard 200 with 185-200,000 units.
Early projections have become less accurate since the introduction of a Friday-Thursday tracking week; readers are thus encouraged to check back in the next few days for an updated outlook.
