Kings Of Leon’s “WALLS” Sales Projection Upgraded; Album Indeed Pacing For #1

Upgraded sales projections have emerged for Kings Of Leon’s “WALLS.”

Hits Daily Double now expects KoL’s seventh studio album to sell 61-66,000 pure US copies during the October 7-13 tracking week. The inclusion of TEA (track sales/10) and SEA (track streams/1500) should result in a weekly consumption total of 70-75,000.

Initial projections called for 50-60,000 in pure US sales and 60-70,000 in total consumption.

While down from the 110,000 opening week sales figure posted by previous album “Mechanical Bull,” the pure sales figure should easily be enough for #1 on the Billboard Top Album Sales chart. The consumption total, moreover, should earn “WALLS” #1 on the Billboard 200.

“Mechanical Bull” debuted at #2 on the then-sales-only Billboard 200.
