Solange’s “A Seat At The Table” Sales Projection Rises, Will Challenge Bon Iver For #1 On Billboard 200

The opening week sales projection for Solange’s “A Seat At The Table” has been upgraded.

While the new projection will not be enough for #1 on Top Album Sales, it – when combined with strong TEA (track sales/10) and SEA (track streams/1500) – gives the album a legitimate shot at #1 on the Billboard 200 consumption chart.

According to Hits Daily Double, “A Seat At The Table” is now tracking for 43-48,000 pure US album sales. TEA and SEA should yield a consumption total of 57-62,000 units.

Projected for 54-59,000 in opening week sales, Bon Iver’s “22, A Million” is tracking comfortably ahead from a pure sales standpoint.

It is not, however, poised to receive more than 3,000 in TEA and SEA units. Its overall consumption projection is therefore the same 57-62,000 expected of “A Seat At The Table.”

Whether it lands at #1 or #2 on the Billboard 200, “A Seat At The Table” will be Solange’s highest-ranking album. “Sol-Angel and the Hadley St. Dreams,” which currently holds that distinction, peaked at #9.
