Travi$ Scott Pacing For #1 On Billboard 200; A Day To Remember May Challenge In Sales

While Travi$ Scott’s “Birds In The Trap Sing McKnight” is the safe bet to claim #1 on this week’s Billboard 200, it is not a lock to win the pure US sales race.

According to Hits Daily Double, A Day To Remember’s “Bad Vibrations” is actually tracking slightly ahead from a pure sales standpoint. ADTR’s album is on track to sell 52-56,000 pure US copies, while Scott’s sudden release should sell 49-53,000.

Track Equivalent Albums (track sales/10) and Streaming Equivalent Albums (track streams/1500) predictably favor the Travi$ Scott album. With TEA and SEA added to the pure sales total, Hits projects 81-85,000 in total first week consumption units for “Birds.” “Vibrations” should generate 56-60,000 in total consumption; it will likely battle Drake’s “Views” (~57-61,000 units) for #2 on the Billboard 200.
