Gwen Stefani’s new “This Is What The Truth Feels Like” is set to comfortably win the weekly US album sales race.
According to Hits Daily Double, the artist’s first solo album in nearly ten years is on track to sell 68-73,000 pure US copies during the March 18-24 tracking week. The sum would easily position “This Is What The Truth Feels Like” at #1 on the Billboard Top Album Sales chart, thus giving Stefani her first weekly album sales victory as a solo artist.
In terms of pure sales, other notable new releases this week will include: Jordan Smith’s “Something Beautiful” (projection: ~33-38,000), Kane Brown’s “Chapter 1 – EP” (projection: ~21-24,000), Jaheim’s “Struggle Love” (projection: ~12-14,000), and Niykee Heaton’s “The Bedroom Tour Playlist” (projection: ~6-8,000).
Iggy Pop’s “Post Pop Depression” and Bobby Bones & The Raging Idiots’ “The Critics Give It 5 Stars” also represent on-the-radar new releases, but projections were not available at press time.
“Truth” is also expected to take #1 on the Billboard 200, which accounts for the combination of pure album sales, TEA (track sales/10) and SEA (track streams/1500). This would mark the artist’s first #1 on the Billboard 200.
