Chris Stapleton’s “Traveller” Certified Gold, “Tonight Show” Performance Set

The week has been full of good news for breakout country superstar Chris Stapleton.

In addition to Grammy nominations (including a “Big Four” nod for Album of the Year), Monday brought confirmation that Stapleton’s album “Traveller” has been certified gold by the RIAA. The gold certification confirms a US shipment total of at least 500,000.

In terms of end-user sales, Stapleton’s “Traveller” has thus far driven 469,700 in the United States. The album is on track to cross the 500,000 mark this month.

Word has also emerged that Stapleton will perform on NBC’s “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.” Per tentative NBC listings, Stapleton will take the stage on the 12/17 “Fallon.” Bruce Springsteen and Jeffrey Tambor are booked as the night’s interview guests.
