“Mockingjay – Part 2” Edges “Krampus,” Wins Third Straight Weekend Box Office

“Krampus” performed respectably in its first weekend of release, but it was unable to dethrone “The Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Part 2” from the #1 position.

“Part 2” thus earns its third straight weekend box office victory. This weekend’s win comes courtesy an estimated weekend total of $18.60 million.

#2 for the weekend, the aforementioned “Krampus” earned $16.0 2million in its inaugural weekend.

“Creed” and “The Good Dinosaur,” last weekend’s big releases, follow with $15.54 million and $15.51 million, respectively. Thanks to $5.43 million in weekend receipts, “Spectre” claims the #5 position.
