When it comes to the November 6 album releases, Ellie Goulding’s “Delirium” presently holds the highest chart position on the US iTunes Album Sales chart.
Goulding’s new release, which features the hit single “On My Mind,” is positioned at #7 on the listing. It trails Chris Stapleton’s CMA Awards-boosted “Traveller” (#1), Eric Church’s surprise Wednesday release (and CMA-boosted) “Mr. Misunderstood” (#2), Adele’s “25” pre-order (#3), Carrie Underwood’s CMA-boosted “Storyteller” (#4), Coldplay’s “A Head Full Of Dreams” pre-order (#5), and Justin Bieber’s “Purpose” pre-order (#6).
Three other November 6 releases join “Delirium” in the Top 10.
Sara Bareilles’ “What’s Inside: Songs From Waitress” follows most closely at #8, while Tim McGraw’s “Damn Country Music” and Little Mix’s “Get Weird” occupy the #9 and #10 spots, respectively.
Since the iTunes store only represents one purchasing option, positions on the overall Top Album Sales chart will not necessarily mirror the aforementioned. Forecasts for the overall weekly sales race should begin to emerge this weekend.
