He might have “Animal Ambition,” but his new album is far from an animal on the retail shelves.
According to Hits Daily Double, the latest studio release from rapper 50 Cent is tracking to move just 30-35,000 in its opening week.
Down considerably from the 160,000 opening week mark for predecessor “Before I Self Destruct,” the total is not even in the same stratosphere as the 691,000 moved by 2007’s “Curtis,” the 1.14 million moved by 2005’s “The Massacre” or the 872,000 moved by 2003’s “Get Rich or Die Tryin’.”
It will also pale in comparison to the 130-150K figure expected of Miranda Lambert’s fellow new release “Platinum.”
Other Hits Daily Double projections for the week include 25-30,000 for each of the Led Zeppelin re-releases and 18-22,000 for Lucy Hale’s “Road Between.”
