A long-anticipated deal to bring Cleveland’s backup point guard Ramon Sessions to Los Angeles came to fruition ahead of the NBA Trade Deadline, the Akron Beacon Journal reports.
Sessions, along with Christian Eyenga, will head to Los Angeles in exchange for a top-14-protected first round draft pick and a Lakers’ backup (conflicting reports have identified the player as either Luke Walton or Jason Kapono).
Sessions played very well in his few starts with Cleveland this season, and given the need for strength at the point poisition, he should make an immediate impact with the Lakers.
