After winning two consecutive weekends, “Captain America: Civil War” slips to #2 at the US box office.

Seizing the throne is “The Angry Birds Movie,” which will claim #1 on the strength of an estimated $39.0 million opening weekend receipts. “Civil War” added $33.1 million to its tally this weekend.

“Neighbors 2: Sorority Rising” follows at #3. The comedy sequel earned $21.8 million in its debut weekend, which markedly trails the $49.0 million earned by “Neighbors” in its inaugural May 2014 weekend.
