Deadpool [Fox Movies]

Despite trailing last week’s mark by 44%, “Deadpool” had no trouble scoring a third straight victory at the weekend box office.

The film added an estimated $31.5 million to its haul this weekend, which more than doubles the weekend gross posted by the runner-up. Through February 28, “Deadpool” boasted a cumulative gross of $285.6 million.

New release “Gods Of Egypt,” which takes #2, earned a modest $14.0 million during its first weekend of release.

“Kung Fu Panda 3” slips to #3 with $9.0 million, while “Risen” takes #4 on the strength of its $7.0 million.

An underwhelming $6.3 million opening weekend gross earns new release “Eddie The Eagle” #5 on this week’s box office chart. Fellow newcomer “Triple 9” follows at #6 with $6.1 million.
