Making good on the mid-week projection, Taylor Swift’s “Fearless (Taylor’s Version)” ranked as America’s #1 album during the October 1-7 tracking period.
According to Hits Daily Double, the albums old a whopping 147.1K copies during the tracking period. With units from track sales and streams included, “Fearless (Taylor’s Version)” generated 153.9K in total consumption.
Buoyed by the vinyl release and other successful direct-to-consumer offerings, “Fearless (Taylor’s Version)” dominantly ranked as the week’s best-selling album. Tony Bennett & Lady Gaga’s “Love For Sale,” the next-best seller, moved just shy of 39K.
The Swift album’s consumption figure also ranks as the week’s best; Drake’s “Certified Lover Boy,” the #2 performer, generated 111.3K in consumption.
Due Sunday, Billboard’s specific numbers may differ slightly from those reported by Hits. The overall outcome will nonetheless be the same; a return to #1 on both the Billboard Top Album Sales (album sales) and Billboard 200 (total consumption) charts.
“Fearless” will be celebrating a second week atop the Billboard 200. Its re-emergence is similar to that of Swift’s 2020 album “evermore,” which returned to #1 earlier this year in conjunction with its vinyl release.
