The music market plays host to plenty of surprises. An early Friday morning development on the US iTunes sales chart is not one of them.
Shortly following its midnight release, Harry Styles’ new album “Fine Line” rocketed to #1 on the all-genre listing. It remains in that position as of pres time at 1AM ET Friday morning.
The balance of the chart does not yet appear to have “refreshed” — the other Top 10 albums are either holdover hits or Christmas albums. While the Christmas albums will likely remain prominently positioned on the chart until the holiday, some of Friday’s other new releases should begin to populate the chart’s upper reaches later Friday.
