Tyler, The Creator’s 2017 album “Flower Boy” debuted at #2 in the United States. At the time, it was his highest-charting album.
His new release “IGOR” debuts at #1 for both pure sales and total consumption.
According to Hits Daily Double and BuzzAngle, the album sold about 78K pure US copies during the May 17-23 tracking period. With units from track sales and streams included, it generated upwards of 172K in total consumption.
Both figures rank as the week’s best. The next-best pure sales performer was The National’s “I Am Easy To Find” with 42K. The #2 album for consumption was DJ Khaled’s “Father Of Asahd” with 132K.
Due later this weekend, Billboard’s data may not precisely mirror that reported by Hits. The outcome will ultimately be the same, however. “IGOR” will be the week’s #1 album for sales and total units.
