Opening week sales and consumption numbers have arrived for the new BLACKPINK album.

According to Hits Daily Double and BuzzAngle, the “Kill This Love” EP sold just over 8K in pure US copies. With units from track sales and streams included, the release generated about 18.4K in total first-week consumption.

The consumption figure yields “Kill This Love” the #28 position on the Hits Top 50 chart.

Due Monday, the Billboard numbers may differ slightly from those reported by Hits. The album nonetheless looks like a safe bet for a Top 40 position on the Billboard 200.

BLACKPINK first visited the chart’s Top 40 last year with the “Square Up” EP. That album bowed at #40 courtesy of its 14K first-week units.
