They do not report the exact same sales and consumption numbers, but Hits Daily Double and Billboard do have the same album at #1 on their charts.
Lady Gaga & Bradley Cooper’s “A Star Is Born,” that album, spends a second week as America’s leader for sales and consumption.
The album tops the Hits sales chart with 80K in pure sales. Hits reports the consumption tally (pure album sales + units from track sales + units from track streams) as 134K, which is enough for #1 on the Hits Top 50 chart.
Billboard credits the album with 86K in pure sales and 143K in total units. The numbers keep “A Star Is Born” atop the Billboard Top Album Sales and Billboard 200 charts, respectively.
In addition to sharing the same #1, the Hits Top 50 and Billboard 200 report the same top five: Quavo’s “Quavo Huncho” at #2, Lil Wayne’s “Tha Carter V” for #3, Lil Baby & Gunna’s “Drip Harder” at #4, and Ella Mai’s “Ella Mai” at #5.
