The latest Mediabase/Critical Mass Media pop radio callout report just arrived, and it comes strong audience interest in Benny Blanco, Halsey and Khalid’s “Eastside.”

Per the report, which is based on a survey of pop radio listeners, “Eastside” is receiving a positive reaction from 71.1% and a negative reaction from 10.2%. It thus boasts a “net positive” score of 60.9%.

Of the 18 songs measured in this week’s report, “Eastside” boasts the best negative and net positive scores. It has the third-best positive score (below “Love Lies,” Khalid’s own collaboration with Normani, and “Better Now” by Post Malone).

At this point, the only “knock” on “Eastside” is its comparatively low “favorite” rating (22.3%, fourth-lowest). That score suggests a reaction more in the vein of “like” than “love” at this point.

Its strong sales and streaming numbers do, however, help counter that suggestion. The song clearly has real fans — not just tolerant listeners.
