Gorillaz’ “The Now Now” Projected For 45-50K US Sales, 55-60K Total US Units

Projections have emerged for the new Gorillaz album.

Gorillaz - The Now Now | Parlophone/Warner

As of now, The Gorillaz’ new album “The Now Now” is on pace to debut inside the Top 5 of this week’s Billboard Top Album Sales and Billboard 200 charts.

Hits Daily Double expects “The Now Now” to sell 45-50,000 pure US copies this week. The inclusion of TEA (track sales/10) and SEA (track streams/1250 for paid services, track streams/3750 for free services) should yield an opening week consumption mark in the 55-60,000 range.

The pure sales total will likely earn “The Now Now” #3 on the Billboard Top Album Sales chart. Only Drake’s “Scorpion” (150-160,000) and Florence + The Machine’s “High As Hope” (59-64,000) are expected to sell better.

The consumption tally should meanwhile be enough for a #4 or #5 bow on the Billboard 200. Only the aforementioned two albums and Post Malone’s “Beerbongs & Bentleys” should post larger consumption tallies. XXXTentacion’s “?” may also end up ahead.

“The Now Now” is the follow-up to “Humanz,” which debuted at #2 on the Billboard 200.
