Echosmith received two new RIAA certifications in late November. One is for the band’s second radio single, while the other is for the album on which that single appears.

“Bright,” the single, earned a platinum certification on November 23, 2016. “Talking Dreams,” the album, went gold that same day.

The platinum single certification confirms 1 million in US units; each unit is equal to 1 paid download or 150 streams.

The gold album certification confirms 500,000 in US album units. Album units are equal to 1 album sale, 10 track sales or 1500 track streams.

First released in 2013, “Talking Dreams” also features Echosmith’s double platinum breakthrough “Cool Kids.”
