Ruth B’s “Lost Boy” was one of 2016’s best-scoring songs with mainstream radio listeners. Accordingly, it boasted a very impressive sales-to-airplay ratio.

As of November 2, 2016, it generated enough sales and streams to reach the double platinum threshold in the United States.

Issued by the RIAA, the double platinum certification confirms 2 million in US units. Each unit is equal to 1 paid download or 150 streams.

“Lost Boy,” which served as a breakthrough for the Canadian artist, peaked at #24 on the Billboard Hot 100.
