Ratings: FOX’s “Empire” Falls To Series Low, Still Wins Night

Empire [FOX]

Airing for the first time since October 12, Wednesday’s “Empire” fell to a series low in adults 18-49 and total viewership.

According to fast national data posted by Showbuzz, Wednesday’s episode drew a 2.9 adults 18-49 rating and 8.14 million total viewers. The numbers trail the 3.5 rating and 9.27 million viewer mark garnered by the previous episode.

This week’s live+same-day figures are the lowest ever posted by an “Empire” episode — a statistic that includes the 2015 Thanksgiving Eve episode that was dismissed from the show’s official average as a “special.”

Despite the “series low” tag, this week’s episode still ranked as Wednesday’s #1 show in adults 18-49.
