One Direction’s “Made In The AM” Certified Platinum In The United States

One Direction’s fifth studio album has officially been certified platinum in the United States.

“Made In The AM” formally received the distinction on April 13, 2016.

The platinum certification confirms a US unit total of at least 1 million. Under the terms of the RIAA’s revamped albums program, 1 unit is equal to 1 album sale, 10 track sales, or 1500 track streams.

All five 1D albums have now crossed the platinum threshold in the US; “Up All Night” and “Take Me Home” are double platinum.
