“Mockingjay – Part 2” Edges “In The Heart Of The Sea,” Wins 4th Straight Box Office

Absent blockbuster competition, “The Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Part 2” manages to win a fourth consecutive weekend box office.

Per weekend estimates, “Part 2” extends its streak courtesy $11.30 million in weekend receipts. To date, the film has earned $244.49 million in the United States.

The film’s closest competition came from new release “In The Heart Of The Sea,” which debuted to a modest $11.01 million.

“The Good Dinosaur” takes #3 with $10.50 million, while “Creed” (#4) and “Krampus” (#5) complete the Top 5. They earned $10.12 million and $8.01 million, respectively.
