Rachel Platten’s “Fight Song” Crosses 1 Million Sales, Goes Top 10 on Hot 100

Headline Planet recently reported that Rachel Platten’s “Fight Song” had been certified platinum by the RIAA.

Under the terms of the RIAA’s digital singles program, that certification only confirms a unit total in excess of 1 million. A unit is equal to one paid download or 100 streams.

As of this past week, “Fight Song” crosses the 1 million mark from a pure sales perspective.

According to Nielsen Music, “Fight Song” moved approximately 125,000 copies during the June 29-July 5 tracking week. That brings its cumulative sales total to 1.1 million.

In conjunction with yet another strong weekly sales performance (and markedly improved streaming and radio performances), “Fight Song” rises four places to #10 on the Billboard Hot 100.
