Kelly Clarkson’s “Wrapped in Red” Sales Lead Toby Keith, Thomas Rhett

The underwhelming commercial response to Arcade Fire’s “Reflektor” is the key album sales story this week, but it is not the only one.

Numerous albums hit shelves this week, and while only the Arcade Fire album will be in the race for number one, several will claim decent positions on next week’s Billboard 200.

After “Reflektor” and its expected 130-140K launch the next best debut will be Kelly Clarkson’s holiday album “Wrapped in Red.” Based on opening day sales data, Hits Daily Double forecasts a bow in the 65-70K range.

Such a frame would give “Red” a comfortable lead over “Duck the Halls: A Robertson Family Christmas,” which should move in the 45-50K range.

A pair of new country releases–Toby Keith’s “Drinks After Work” and Thomas Rhett’s “It Goes Like This”–will follow with 35-40K and 30-35K, respectively.

Other notable debuts include Linkin Park’s “RECHARGED” (30-35K) and Robert Glasper Experiment’s “Black Radio 2” (12-14K).
