“Franklin & Bash” Returns for Season Two; Show Renewed by TNT

TNT canceled “Men of a Certain Age,” but its Wednesday counterpart “Franklin & Bash” will continue through next season.

The cable network officially ordered a second season of the legal dramedy, which stars Mark-Paul Gosselaar and Breckin Meyer as quirky, unorthodox attorneys who bring their antics to a high-powered firm.

Though ratings have not been glowing, “Franklin & Bash” performs comparatively well for TNT in the adults 18-49 demographic; shows like “The Closer” and “Rizzoli & Isles,” which average more than double the viewership, are typically just a few tenths higher in the demo.

The show also reportedly has solid DVR playback.

Season one of “Franklin” resumes this Wednesday.
