Bruno Mars’ “Doo-Wops & Hooligans” Certified 5X Platinum; “Unorthodox Jukebox” 4X

As of June 15, Bruno Mars’ albums “Doo-Wops & Hooligans” and “Unorthodox Jukebox” had been certified up to double platinum in the United States.

On June 16, the two albums respectively ascended to 5x platinum and 4x platinum.

The 5x platinum honor confirms that Mars’ studio debut has shifted at least 5 million units in the US. One unit is equal to 1 album sale, 10 track sales or 1500 track streams.

In going 4x platinum, follow-up “Unorthodox Jukebox” has generated 4 million units.
