Twenty One Pilots’ “Stressed Out” Goes 2X Platinum in US; “Blurryface” Certified Platinum

Twenty One Pilots [ABC]

While the RIAA has not yet updated its official website database, news has come regarding new certifications for twenty one pilots’ breakthrough single “Stressed Out” — as well as the album on which it appears.

The duo’s “Stressed Out” was recently certified 2X platinum under the RIAA’s digital singles program, which confirms a US unit total of at least 2 million. One unit is equal to 1 paid download or 150 streams (recently upgraded from 100 streams, retroactive scoring may apply).

Album “Blurryface,” meanwhile, recently earned a platinum certification. Under the RIAA’s albums program, a platinum certification confirms a US unit total of 1 million, with a unit equating to either 1 sale, 10 track sales or 1500 track streams.
