As Jason Aldean prepares for his #1 debut on this week’s Billboard 200 album sales chart, another superstar country act positions itself to go number one on next week’s chart.
Florida Georgia Line, that act, is tracking to dominate the weekly sales race thanks to new album “Anything Goes.” Expected to be a hot seller in all media, “Anything Goes” quickly surged to #1 on the iTunes Album Sales chart Tuesday.
Already the source of a #1 country hit in “Dirt,” “Anything Goes” will follow in the footsteps of predecessor “Here’s to the Good Times” in reaching #1 on the Billboard Country Albums chart. But while this album is also a lock to reach #1 on the overall Billboard 200, “Good Times” never went higher than number four.
Currently #2 on iTunes is Hoodie Allen’s “People Keep Talking.” You + Me’s “rose ave” follows at #3, while Milky Chance’s new “Sadnecessary” is positioned at #4. Taylor Swift’s “1989,” which is still in the pre-order stage, holds the #5 position.
Other top ten albums include Jessie J’s #6 “Sweet Talker,” Jason Aldean’s #7 “Old Boots, New Dirt,” Game’s #8 “Blood Moon: Year of the Wolf,” Andrew McMahon in the Wilderness’ #9 “Andrew McMahon in the Wilderness” and Hozier’s #10 “Hozier.”
