Shawn Mendes’ “Stitches” Scoring Well With Pop Radio Listeners

Shawn Mendes’ “Stitches” is thus far resonating very well with pop radio listeners.

According to the Mediabase/CMM national audience callout report, “Stitches” boasts a net positive reaction score of 46.2%. No active pop song ranks higher for that particular metric.

Particularly helpful is the relative absence of a negative reaction. Its negative reaction level of 16.0% is the lowest for a pop song.

Its positive reaction level of 62.2%, meanwhile, ranks as pop radio’s #12 score.

Because its familiarity level is only 61.3%, its scores will almost certainly change–and possibly fall–in the coming weeks. The early numbers are nonetheless very encouraging, and a sign that the pop audience is willing to embrace Mendes’ single.

A modest airplay performer thus far, “Stitches” appears at #34 on the rolling Mediabase pop airplay chart.
