The recent drama involving Charlie Sheen has been drastically spilling over into production for CBS’ flagship comedy “Two and a Half Men.” First, it resulted in episodes being cut from the current season order due to delays. Now, it has resulted in CBS and WB Television calling it quits on the rest of the season.
The show has not yet been canceled for good, but following controversial remarks Sheen made in Thursday interviews, with particularly-biting ones directed at “Men” creator Chuck Lorre, the current season is effectively over. CBS and WBTV were originally looking at producing another four episodes this season.
“Based on the totality of Charlie Sheen’s statements, conduct and condition, CBS and Warner Bros. Television have decided to discontinue production of Two and a Half Men for the remainder of the season,” said CBS and WBTV in a statement.
