The album receives an upgraded projection as we approach the end of release week.

Olivia Rodrigo’s “GUTS” still pacing for #1 in the United States but new projections have the album earning that distinction with a stronger opening-week total.

According to Hits Daily Double, the album is now projected to sell 140K US copies by the end of the September 8-14 tracking period. With units from track sales and streams included, the album may generate 295K in total first-week US consumption.

Hits’ initial forecast had the album debuting with 250-265K US units.

Interestingly, the 295K unit forecast precisely matches the debut number achieved by Rodrigo’s previous album “SOUR” in May 2021. That album, too, earned #1 on the Billboard 200 chart.
