Khalid’s “Location” Reaches 5x Platinum In US, “Young Dumb & Broke” 4x Platinum

Khalid’s “American Teen” album also picked up a new certification.

Khalid just received three upgraded certifications from the RIAA.

Two concern his hit singles, while one focuses on his debut album.

Per the RIAA, Khalid’s songs “Location” and “Young Dumb & Broke” reached 5x platinum and 4x platinum, respectively, on August 14, 2018. The 5x platinum award confirms 5 million in US units, while the 4x platinum award signifies 4 million.

Each unit is equal to 1 paid download or 150 streams.

The Grammy-nominated artist also received a 2x platinum award for “American Teen,” the album on which those songs appear. The award signifies 2 million in US album units; each unit is equal to 1 album sale, 10 track sales or 1500 track streams.
