Katy Perry’s “Last Friday Night” Certified 6x Platinum, “Wide Awake” 5x

Three Katy Perry singles recently received new digital certifications in the United States.

According to the RIAA, Perry’s “Teenage Dream” smash “Last Friday Night (TGIF)” officially attained 6x platinum status on January 19, 2018.

The award confirms 6 million in US units. Each unit is equal to 1 paid download or 150 streams.

Perry also garnered a 5x platinum award (5 million units) for “Wide Awake.”

Her recent single “Swish Swish” meanwhile attained platinum status (1 million) in the United States.

Perry continues to boast the third-greatest number of certified US digital single units. Only Rihanna and Taylor Swift have more.
