The new single from Eminem’s “Revival” received immediate attention at pop radio.
“River (featuring Ed Sheeran),” that song, was released with the album late Thursday/early Friday.
By the end of Friday, it had already received 487 spins at pop radio. It is #50 on Mediabase’s building pop chart, which ranks songs based on airplay amassed during the first six days of the December 10-16 tracking period.
According to Mediabase, the greatest support came from Q102. The Philadelphia-based pop station had played “River” a whopping 27 times by the close of Friday.
Other top early supporters include Detroit’s Channel 955 (25 spins), Detroit’s 98.7 AMP (25 spins), Myrtle Beach’s Energy 92.1 (17 spins), and Miami’s Power 96 (16 spins).
Eight other stations have played “River” at least ten times, while dozens more offered between 1 and 9 first-day spins.
