As it makes its annual holiday climb up the international music charts, Mariah Carey’s modern classic “All I Want For Christmas Is You” picks up a new multi-platinum certification in Australia.

According to ARIA, “AIWFCIY” attained quadruple platinum status in the Land Down Under this week.

The award signifies at least 280,000 in Australian units.

“All I Want For Christmas Is You” appears at #16 on this week’s edition of the ARIA Australian Top 50 Singles Chart.

It has spent a total of 24 weeks on the listing. Its peak-to-date is #2.
