Kenny Chesney’s “Live In No Shoes Nation” Pacing For #1 With 135-155K US Sales

Kenny Chesney’s new live album should top this week’s US album sales and consumption charts.

Kenny Chesney’s album is on track for a #1 bow on this week’s Billboard Top Album Sales and Billboard 200 charts.

Based on early data, Hits Daily Double expects the album to sell 135-155,000 pure US copies this week.

The album will only receive a nominal lift from TEA (track sales/10) and SEA (track streams/1500); its opening week consumption total will thus be in a similar range.

The pure sales total should yield a #1 bow on Top Album Sales, while the consumption figure will be enough for #1 on the Billboard 200.

Sales for “Live In No Shoes Nation” are benefiting from a concert ticket/album bundle. Given Chesney’s popularity as a touring act, the “bundle boost” is predictably massive (although not quite as big as the ~200K achieved by P!nk’s recent “Beautiful Trauma,” which an earlier Hits article suggested was possible).

— Projections for this week’s other key albums, including Kelly Clarkson’s “Meaning Of Life,” are not available as of press time.
